Window trends – what to bet on in 2025?

23.12.2024

In 2025, trends in window joinery will follow similar directions as in previous years. However, an even greater emphasis on innovation, functionality and aesthetics can be expected.

How do you choose the right windows to improve a building’s energy efficiency and market value? So what should you look out for when choosing windows in the coming year?

Discover 10 trends!

1. Large glazing – more light and space

Windows with large glass surfaces have become synonymous with modern architecture. In 2025, their popularity will continue to grow. Thanks to the use of modern technology, it is possible to create large-scale glazing without compromising on thermal and acoustic insulation.

What is spectrally selective glazing? These are glass panes with a special coating which transmits visible light and reflects infrared radiation. This means that interiors are well lit, but do not heat up excessively. Such glazing additionally reduces the need for artificial lighting.

Modern window systems make it possible to create glazing heights of up to 3 metres. Thanks to the use of aluminium frames with slender profiles, these types of windows retain their strength and rigidity despite their size.

2. Aluminium windows – durability and modern design

Aluminium is a material that in 2025 will be one of the most common choices for aluminium window production in Łódź. It is extremely durable, corrosion-resistant and allows for the creation of minimalist structures that fit perfectly into modern architectural designs.

It is worth noting that aluminium windows can be personalised. Paint coatings available in a wide range of colours make it possible to match the frames to the building facade or the character of the interior. What’s more, aluminium is a fully recyclable material, making it an eco-friendly choice for conscious consumers.

3. Energy efficiency – an investment in the future

Choosing windows with high thermal insulation is one of the most important trends. The Uw parameter (or thermal transmittance) determines how much energy ‘escapes’ through a window. The lower the Uw coefficient, the better the insulation.

Modern windows are fitted with triple-glazed packages and frames with thermal breaks. What are thermal breaks? These are elements placed inside the frame which prevent heat conduction. Thanks to this, windows effectively protect interiors against cold in winter and overheating in summer.

An additional advantage is the glazing with a low emissivity coating, which reflects heat radiation back into the interior. As a result, rooms heat up more quickly, which translates into lower heating costs.

4. Intelligent solutions – comfort and safety

Smart home technologies will become increasingly popular in 2025. Windows integrated with smart home systems enable automatic control of their opening, closing and ventilation.

Weather sensors that automatically close windows in the event of rain or strong winds are an interesting solution. In combination with a smartphone app, you can remotely manage your window frames. Improve your comfort and safety of use.

5. Personalisation – customised windows

A bespoke approach to window design is another trend that will dominate in 2025. You can successfully look for windows with unusual shapes (arches, trapezoids or circles) that will allow even the most creative designs to be realised.

You can also choose a variety of finishes – such as woodgrain finishes, which combine the modernity of aluminium with the warmth of traditional materials. With the ability to personalise your windows, you can easily match them to the character of the building and your own preferences.

6. Ecology – sustainability in window joinery

Environmental awareness is playing an increasingly important role in consumer choices. Windows manufactured from recycled materials fit in with the idea of sustainability.

By choosing environmentally certified windows, you can be sure that you are contributing to the protection of the environment.

7. Acoustics – silence in the home

Modern window systems equipped with glazing packages with increased sound insulation effectively reduce noise from outside. In cities, noise is an everyday problem and such solutions significantly improve living comfort. Follow the trends, but also be guided by your comfort.

For best results, it is worth choosing windows with laminated glass and frames fitted with special acoustic seals.

8. Security – protection against burglary

Modern windows are equipped with anti-burglary systems – reinforced hardware, laminated glass or opening sensors. Investing in such solutions increases the safety of the occupants and protects property from theft.

9. Ease of maintenance – less work, more time

The materials used to manufacture modern windows are dirt-resistant and easy to maintain. Hydrophobic coatings on the panes or special frame finishes minimise the build-up of dirt.

10. Aesthetics – harmony with architecture

Windows are an important part of a building’s design. Trends for 2025 point to minimalism, slender profiles and large glazing. Thanks to modern technology, it is possible to create large windows without compromising on insulation or security.

When choosing windows in 2025, it is worth paying attention to all of the above aspects. An investment in modern, energy-efficient and functional windows is a benefit for years to come, both in terms of user comfort and energy savings.
