ALUPLAST HST 85

Send enquiry

A system with a sash installation depth of 85 mm and a maximum glazing width of 51 mm, enabling three different product configurations to be made.

The new aluplast HST 85 mm lift and slide doors are a rarity on the market: they are available in three different variants, depending on the requirements for thermal insulation: from the basic version, through the standard version, to the premium version, which meets the highest requirements for passive houses.

ONE SYSTEM – THREE SOLUTIONS

The new HST 85 mm door system is, on the one hand, a response to expectations in terms of creating increasingly larger window structures, and on the other hand, through design changes, and above all the possibility of using wider glazing packets with a width of up to 51 mm, it allows above-average thermal insulation properties to be obtained. A novelty in this segment is the modular nature of the construction, which allows three free product configurations, depending on the expected thermal parameters.

HST 85 MM FIXFRAME. EVEN MORE LIGHT

The new HST 85 fixframe system solution, with its very narrow frame in the fixed glazing section, fulfils the demand for maximising glazed areas, increasing the amount of light entering the room and making efficient use of thermal energy from the sun.

Thanks to the freedom to choose different combinations of profiles in the lintel part of the door and in the threshold part, we can choose between three options: Basic, Standard and Premium, which are aimed at different customer groups with different thermal insulation requirements.

Due to the increase in the depth of the sashes used in HST balcony door constructions to 85 mm, the sealing node on the line of overlap between the sections of moving and fixed parts was also modified. The flat gasket used until now was replaced by an EPDM gasket with a tubular cross-section. By slightly increasing the operating forces required to close the leaf completely, a significant increase in the airtightness of the joint was thus achieved.

Thermal properties of HST 85 doors

Changes in the construction of sections have allowed for a significant improvement in the thermal permeability of combinations of profiles, which, depending on the selected option, makes it possible to obtain the weighted average value of the heat transfer coefficient. Uf = from 1,5 W(m2* K) in the Basic version, by Uf= 1,3 W(m2 * K) in the Standard version to Uf = 1,1 W(m2* K) Premium version.

The currently tested value of the Q100 coefficient allows aluplast HST 85 mm doors made in scheme A to be classified in airtightness class 4 according to PN-EN 12207:2001, which, in accordance with the requirements of technical and construction regulations regarding air permeability, allows these structures to be used in all types of buildings.

HST 85 lift and slide doors – thresholds

Depending on the object requirements and the buyer’s expectations, three different threshold solutions can be used in the construction of aluplast HST 85 mm balcony doors.

The threshold in the “Basic” version is made of aluminium with the exception of a small PVC-U element on the inside. The “Standard” version has a similar design, but the aluminium parts are separated by a polyamide thermal break. The “Premium” version of the threshold is made entirely of glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP). In addition, all chambers of the threshold are filled with PU foam, which further enhances the thermal insulation properties of the element by reducing the value of the linear thermal bridge within the structure threshold without compromising its structural rigidity.

BARRIER-FREE THRESHOLD?

The HST door is a modern and secure solution, designed to eliminate ubiquitous barriers. The low door threshold of 48 mm, which can be recessed from the room side to its full height, meets the requirements for barrier-free construction and allows trouble-free entry and exit. Thanks to special overlays, it is also possible to flush the threshold with the floor surface and thus completely eliminate architectural barriers.
